Dear Parents & Guardians,

Tomorrow is no school due to the Truth & Reconciliation Day. Today Beddington is participating in a number of Indigenous Learning activities to expand our understanding and reflect on the shared history.

On Friday, October 1st is the Pillars of Care Assembly. As always there will be 5 students recognized for their exemplary achievement in on of the Care areas.

Below are this month's winners from Room 15. Congratulations go to all of you and also the many others who were not chosen yet but also would have been a great candidate for an award.

GRADE 6 Mr. Mueller

Care for Others: Teagan has shown Care for Others in many ways this month.

For instance, he helped new students access Mathletics and explained how to

log into computers and Google Classroom. He also brought gym equipment

out for recess and most importantly made sure it came back to class.

Care for Learning: Kirill  has been engaged in all of the learning activities this month.

He actively shared his ideas in class discussions and created a neat poster on “onomatopoeia”.

Did I mention that he also completed all of his Mathletics tasks! Keep up the great work.

Care for Place: Amy - This month's Care for Place winner is Amy. She is part of the clean

team as her classroom job for September and truly fits her role. Her desk area is neat

and tidy and she volunteered to empty out the recycling bins and help out with many

other tasks such as sanitizing hands and equipment.

Care for Self: Leah - Leah deserves this award as she demonstrated Care or Self

by catching up on her learning goals after having missed a few days earlier in September.

For instance, she completed all the build up Mathletics tasks and managed to hand in

other projects on time.

Pillar of the Month: Victoria This friendly young lady always has a smile on her face

and truly represents this month’s 5th pillar “Respect.” Victoria  is a positive peer

who enjoys working with her classmates and always respects their ideas.

Not to mention that she is a great role model for being polite.
