Dear Parents & Guardians,

We have made it through the first week of January.

In class, we used the week to get back into our learning and work habits.


LA: Spelling Quiz today => I sent the quiz home with students.

MA: We did our 2nd check-in assessment on area, perimeter and volume.


In Social Studies, students started to design their own city plan (2-D/ map).

Students will receive about 30-45 minutes daily to add to their city.

The goal is to build a municipality that provides essential services for their citizens.

This is an interdisciplinary project with curricular learning outcomes in social studies, art and LA (as there will be a written component to explain the choices made and describe the city).

Below is a list which is not exclusive but has *essential* elements.
