Tomorrow is our monthly Pillars of Care Assembly.
Below are our winners for this month!
Care for Others - Amy - This young lady is coveted by her classmates during team and group work.
If you have Amy in your group, you can count on a reliable partner that is always friendly and motivating
to work with. Keep up the great work ethic, Amy!
Care for Learning - Alia - She has been doing a great job in trying her best to improve her math
and writing skills in the past few months. For instance, Alia wrote entertaining stories and always
volunteers to read out announcements, emcee assemblies and much more. Nicely done, Alia!
Care for Place Kirill - Kirill is doing a great job in returning materials to their storage place,
bin or computer cart. He is also a role model when it comes to pushing in your chair and putting
your shoes up on the ledge at the end of the day. Thank you for all your help around the class!
Care for Self - Paul - This young man is working hard on improving his projects and writing skills.
Paul also advocates for himself by seeking out feedback from his teachers and participates well in
class discussions. Keep up the good work, Sir!
Pillar of the Month: - Fransen deserves the Love Award because he is well-liked by all of his classmates. Frasen’s kind and calm
personality make him a great member in partner and group tasks. He often help others in figuring
out new skills (e.g. how to measure angles with a protractor or explains Mathletics tasks).
It's great to have you in our class, Fransen!
Yesterday we celebrated Pink-Shirt Day at BHS.
In Room 15 we created an awesome display with kind messages on our classroom door.
We also talked about the various forms of bullying and that we need to step up and not be
a quiet bystander when we observe injustice.
This year's message was to be kind to one another and "Lift each other up!"
