learning about the Lunar Cycle and the rotation and revolution of Earth.

4. On February 15th I have booked a virtual presentation about Sun Safety provided by the Canadian Skin Cancer society.

5. No spelling test this week => Short week.

Our Learning goals in the major subject areas:

1. Science

Students can identify the phases of the Moon and explain/ analyze the movement of Earth through space (rotation - 1 turn around its own axis in 24 hours vs. revolution - 1 year movement on its orbit around the Sun)

2. Math

Students are improving their accuracy in measuring angles and identifying types of triangles and quadrilaterals. In class we reviewed the 6 types of angels once more.

Did you know that an obtuse angle has to measure between 91 and 179 degrees!
