In LA, students are reading news articles, answering questions about them and will continue to practice writing news reports from a list of facts & prompts. Using direct and indirect speech, including quotes and organizing each news report in paragraphs from most to least important information will be crucial for writing good articles.

In science, students are exploring flight adaptations in birds & insects, as well as, test the  sturdiness of their parachutes. Being able to explain how the forces of flight (lift, thrust, weight and drag) interact with any flying object will be an essential learning goal.
