  Dear Parents & Guardians, With only 35 more days of teaching remaining until the end of this school year, we are picking up speed. This week, there will be two tests to finish up units in mathematics & social studies. Next week is also the official writing PAT - exam on May the 18th.  Dear Parents & Guardians, 1) Walking Field Trip On Thursday, April 28th, we will be going on our final walking field trip to Split-Rock / Confluence Park. Please see the attached pdf that outlines the purpose and learning intentions of the trip which I sent via school messenger. 2) Options for Grade 7 Next week, on May 4th, Sir John A Macdonald (SJAM) resource teachers will visit us and help our grade six students to select their options for grade 7. This will be done during school hours here at BHS. The options will be: Band, Intro Music, Construction, Computers, Drama, Art, Outdoor Ed, Foods, Design Studies, Leadership (may not be available for grade 7’s).   Dear Parents & Guardians, Tomorrow is our Spring Concert for Division II. This is the first in-person concert since 2020! I am hoping to see many of you in attendance. The concert starts at 6pm sharp. Please send your children to class at least 15min earlier. I will open Room 15 doors at 5:30pm and am available for a 'meet & greet.' FYI - Our Pillars of Care Winners for May will be announced her tomorrow. The assembly will be on Friday in the gym! Math - homework: After noticing that some of the Grade Sixers need some extra practice time, I sent home an algebra work sheet with 18 questions involving unknown numbers.  The principle of solving equations is to  a) treating each side equally (what you to do to left - has to be done to the right side, as well) b) isolating the variable (having the unknown number stand by itself) c) doing the reverse operation (+ <=> - and x <=> /) Tomorrow is our last chance to practice solving equations in class before F...
