  1. The Spelling Test is being postponed to next week. We will do in on Tuesday.
  2. Parent-Teacher Conferences

Today at 4pm you will be able to book a virtual appointment with me via TEAMs using your
MyCBE account.  The conferences will be held on November 25th in the afternoon and on Friday, November 26th in the morning. 


Our Learning in class today:

LA - We continued reading our novel study REFUGEE and are now at chapter 6 (mind you the chapters are very short). Student are currently working on reflections and character descriptions in post-reading tasks.

Social Studies:

During our tech-time students explored and researched the different levels of government and the services they provide.

  Dear Parents & Guardians, So far most of our staff and students are still in Good Health but as we see Covid-19 infection numbers rise, I am counting on your support to assess your child's health and readiness for school attendance on a daily basis. Important Updates and Reminders: 1. Spelling Test on Friday (Sky Science words) 2.   Dear Parent & Guardians, Today I will just send out a few reminders and some information about the Food Drive that our school is participating in. 1) Spelling Test on Math words tomorrow, Friday December 3rd. 2) Last day to work on the science project in class is tomorrow as well. 3) Tomorrow - Science Quiz on Trees and Forests (20 Questions) to cover some of the parts of the unit the current project does not cover Our School is accepting food donations (non-perishable/ dried or canned) for the Mayor's Food Drive. If you go shopping and see a deal on any items fitting the category it is greatly appreciated if you sent  them our way.  If every student only brings 1 can we will gather over 400 cans in total for Calgarians in  need.

(scroll down) As you know, we are having Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday and Friday. Please book an appointment time if you wish to receive an update on your child's learning. In class, we have started to revisit our IRIS goals which each student set in November. Students will be sharing them with you during the interview. Tomorrow and on Thursday we will reflect on these goals and see if we have progressed/ achieved them. Also, our school is once again participating in the Jump Rope For Heart fundraiser.
