  • No school November 11th and 12th
  • Spelling Test were sent home today.
  • LA Poetry project is due this week (Nov 10th)
  • Nov 15th - Our student teacher Miss Paul will join our class for 5 weeks.
In the subject areas:

LA:

The poetry unit is coming to an end this week. Last week we already had a short check-in on
the students' knowledge of literary devices and the different types of poems. For an overview (rubric and tasks), please check last week's blog (Nov 2nd). The due date in class is tomorrow and students will get Wednesday to craft their booklet.

MA:
We are continuing our graphing lessons this week and will have a short assessment of what students remember in terms of reading graphs, analyzing their information and creating simple graphs based of
tables of values.

Science:
Before starting our big final project on Trees and Forests, students will explore and evaluate the different
perspectives humans have on forests.
Here are the main four perspectives we are investigating in class:
  • Forestry - Economical Use
  • Recreational Use
  • Conservation - environmentalists' perspective
  • Indigenous perspectives
The Indigenous view on forests and the Land in general aligns with our school board's mandate to foster more awareness of IndigenousLearning and the Truth and Reconciliation movement.
