Today we had our integers assessment and I am pleased to announce that we had no fails and most students showed a beginning proficient level of understanding. An area for growth is adding and subtracting more challenging scenarios.

 In LA, we continued to explore the structures and elements of news reports. In P.E. students have planned their own team games in small groups which we are playing now as a whole class.

  Dear Parents & Guardians, So far most of our staff and students are still in Good Health but as we see Covid-19 infection numbers rise, I am counting on your support to assess your child's health and readiness for school attendance on a daily basis. Important Updates and Reminders: 1. Spelling Test on Friday (Sky Science words) 2. Math - Geometry assessment on area, perimeter and volume (+ conversions) also this Friday In Math, we are reviewing and practicing volume, area and perimeter problems this week. We also reviewed multiplication, as you need it to determine the above mentioned quantities. 4.5 x 7 or 27x 42. In Social Studies, we spent the past 3 days researching the different types of municipal governments and the names for their leaders and councils.   Dear Parent & Guardians, Today I will just send out a few reminders and some information about the Food Drive that our school is participating in. 1) Spelling Test on Math words tomorrow, Friday December 3rd. 2) Last day to work on the science project in class is tomorrow as well. 3) Tomorrow - Science Quiz on Trees and Forests (20 Questions) to cover some of the parts of the unit the current project does not cover Our School is accepting food donations (non-perishable/ dried or canned) for the Mayor's Food Drive. If you go shopping and see a deal on any items fitting the category it is greatly appreciated if you sent  them our way.  If every student only brings 1 can we will gather over 400 cans in total for Calgarians in  need.
