Dear Grade 6 Families,


Tonight is our School Spring Dance, organized by our amazing parent council.

You are all invited to attend. 

The dance starts at 6pm and lasts for 2 hours.

Children need to be supervised by an adult.

I wish I could attend myself, but my own children have swim lessons every Thursday.


Upcoming events & dates:

  1. No school tomorrow, May 20th => PD-Day
  2. No school on Monday, May 23rd => Victoria Day Long Weekend

Next week, there will be a quick algebra  test and final news unit reading quiz, later in the week.

  Dear Parent & Guardians, Today I will just send out a few reminders and some information about the Food Drive that our school is participating in. 1) Spelling Test on Math words tomorrow, Friday December 3rd. 2) Last day to work on the science project in class is tomorrow as well. 3) Tomorrow - Science Quiz on Trees and Forests (20 Questions) to cover some of the parts of the unit the current project does not cover Our School is accepting food donations (non-perishable/ dried or canned) for the Mayor's Food Drive. If you go shopping and see a deal on any items fitting the category it is greatly appreciated if you sent  them our way.  If every student only brings 1 can we will gather over 400 cans in total for Calgarians in  need.

  Dear Parents & Guardians, Updates and reminders: 1. Basic Computation Quiz tomorrow (every three weeks) 2. Science Presentations will be starting 3. Parent-Teacher Conferences this Thursday and Friday (morning) 4. No school for students on Friday 5. Jump-Rope-For-Heart Fundraiser Information 6. Updates on the story writing unit. (scroll down) As you know, we are having Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday and Friday. Please book an appointment time if you wish to receive an update on your child's learning. In class, we have started to revisit our IRIS goals which each student set in November. Students will be sharing them with you during the interview. Tomorrow and on Thursday we will reflect on these goals and see if we have progressed/ achieved them. Also, our school is once again participating in the Jump Rope For Heart fundraiser.
