Dear Parents & Guardians,


This blog entry focuses on the conclusion and marking of the Trees and Forest Unit.
I have taken photographs of all projects that were handed in and completed by students.
The project also has a written component  aptly named "write-up" that should tie the visuals and 3-D models together. Throughout the project I was very pleased with student participation and creativity.

Marking:
I am specifically looking at the depth of engagement with the topic.
Could students demonstrate how photosynthesis is the foundation of the food web?
Could they show the interconnections between trees as producers, habitat and resource for other organisms?
Did they include various ways humans interact and use a forest ecosystem (conservation, forestry, recreation, indigenous ways)?
Are all components labelled with specific terms? Are titles, arrows or other visual supports present?
