Dear Parents & Guardians,

Thank you all for your support with our Spring Concert.

Despite the short notice (due to the lifting of Covid-restrictions), Mr. Wiens, our music teacher,

managed to create a great show with the vocal support of your children.


Today, I just want to make you aware of next week's assessments.

With the PATs approaching in the week of June 13th, we have to complete our current units in social and science and start the exam preparation.

In class, we voted today on doing the

  • Aerodynamics and Flight  science quiz on Tuesday, May 31st
  • Ancient Athens (social) test on Wednesday, June 1st.

Next week, we are also starting our final units of the school year:

1) Fractions-Ratio-Percent in math
2) Evidence & Investigation in science
3) The Iroquois Confederacy  aka The Haudenosaunee in social studies

  Dear Parent & Guardians, Today I will just send out a few reminders and some information about the Food Drive that our school is participating in. 1) Spelling Test on Math words tomorrow, Friday December 3rd. 2) Last day to work on the science project in class is tomorrow as well. 3) Tomorrow - Science Quiz on Trees and Forests (20 Questions) to cover some of the parts of the unit the current project does not cover Our School is accepting food donations (non-perishable/ dried or canned) for the Mayor's Food Drive. If you go shopping and see a deal on any items fitting the category it is greatly appreciated if you sent  them our way.  If every student only brings 1 can we will gather over 400 cans in total for Calgarians in  need.

  Dear Parents & Guardians, Updates and reminders: 1. Basic Computation Quiz tomorrow (every three weeks) 2. Science Presentations will be starting 3. Parent-Teacher Conferences this Thursday and Friday (morning) 4. No school for students on Friday 5. Jump-Rope-For-Heart Fundraiser Information 6. Updates on the story writing unit. (scroll down) As you know, we are having Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday and Friday. Please book an appointment time if you wish to receive an update on your child's learning. In class, we have started to revisit our IRIS goals which each student set in November. Students will be sharing them with you during the interview. Tomorrow and on Thursday we will reflect on these goals and see if we have progressed/ achieved them. Also, our school is once again participating in the Jump Rope For Heart fundraiser.
